You have a deep love for fresh, deep, glorious snow.  As a mother, you want to help instill that passion for the winter experience with your little outdoor enthusiast.  Luckily for families of winter explorers, with the women’s Xplore and kids Flex Jr., Tubbs Snowshoes makes it easy for you and your little grom to break free from the cabin fever and spend quality snow time together.

Walk into any outdoor retailer and you’re likely to be overwhelmed with a massive array of snowshoe styles.  If you’ve got a little tike or two in tow, it can be difficult to get all of your questions answered by the sales associate before the kids disappear in a game of hide-and-seek in the luggage section.  Fear not, Tubbs has got you covered with the Xplore for mom and the Flex Jr. for the little tike.

For those Mommy & Me Snow Sessions…
The Tubbs Flex Jr. Snowshoe makes snowshoeing as easy as possible because it’s specifically designed for short legs and short strides.  They feature the same high-quality materials and construction as Tubbs’ Adult snowshoes with kid-friendly features.  Our pint-sized snowshoe partner never wanted to take off these comfortable, easy-to-use snowshoes.

Easy-to-use Quick Draw Jr.™ bindings fit a wide range of boot styles and sizes while remaining easy to operate all while designed so that kids can put it on and take it off by themselves. Kid-friendly carbon steel crampons and tractin rail with rounded corners ensure safe, go-anywhere grip.  Meanwhile Tubbs’ award-winning FEX Tail design helps keep your restless hiker moving on top of the fresh snow, instead of sinking into it.

While Mom watches her snow monster blissfully stomp through the winter wonderland, she can keep pace in confident stride with the Tubbs Xplore, a snowshoe designed to stay fast, light and trail-blazing.

Bindings are the most important part of any snowshoe, and so the Tubbs Xplore offers an easy and intuitive single forefoot strap with a QuickPull binding that cinches easily and unlocks with one buckle push. Considering our field tester had to keep pace with her mini-me, she was highly appreciative of the quick-in and quick-out binding design.

Whether the day involved playing a game of family freeze tag, or packing a snowboard into the backcountry, having a snowshoe that allowed for natural and efficient strides was a key factor.   Towards those ends, Tubbs biomechanical aluminum Fit-Step™ frame refuses to compromise on a woman’s natural stance and gait making every powder day as glorious as it should be.

Designed with a slightly upturned, rounded tail, the Xplore snowshoe reduces impact on hip, knee and ankle joints.  All the while, Tubbs’ Rotating Toe Cord design enables the tail of the snowshoe to drop and snow to shed off the tail, while carbon steel toe and heel crampons gripped uphill, downhill and side hill with ease.

Bottom Line…
Tubbs Xplore for women and the Tubbs Flex Jr. for the kids feature lightweight and durable designs at a price that leaves plenty of money left over for years of post snowshoe hot chocolate time for big and little snowshoers alike.
