Switch Vision: The Sunglasses with a Magnetic Personality

When pursuing your outdoor passions, the only constant is change — changing weather, changing light conditions and changing terrain. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could change your lenses as quick as Mother Nature changes moods?  Enter Switch Vision glasses. Constructed on a the first ever magnetic interchange system, these sunglasses are out to ensure that no matter the light conditions, you’ll have optimum clarity and definition.

On Design and Performance…
If you’ve ever shopped for sunglasses with interchangeable lenses, you know that virtually every manufacturer claims a streamlined design for “smooth and seamless” transition. The reality, however, doesn’t always live up to the marketing hype. Mechanical interchange systems can be clumsy, frustrating and can be difficult to use.

Personally, we’ve owned more than one pair of sunglasses that leave us feeling as though we’re on the threshold of snapping the frame when changing out lenses. Now, Switch Vision proves what we’ve all intuitively known since the outset; all of that  switching and hinging is overrated and over-engineered.

By embedding small high-energy magnets in the lens and frame, Switch Vision has changed the rules of the game. Need to change out lenses to meet changing lighting conditions?  Simply pop out the in-frame lens and pop in the alternative lens.  From day one to 1,000 the lenses virtually leap into place when brought close to the frame. Once snapped into position, they stay put. Hands down, it’s the easiest and most efficient system we’ve ever used.

From lengthy trail runs, to thrashing fire trails on your metal steed, the lenses hold on tighter than your crazy ex-girlfriend (or ex-boyfriend). In fact, the only time we had an issue with a lens coming out of the frame was when our four year old son got a hold of the glasses. Here at the Gumption HQ we call that the ‘chaos test’. Even after wrangling with the four year old, it was simply a matter of grabbing the shatterproof lens and popping it back into place.

Of course an industry-first interchange system doesn’t do you much good without near-perfect clarity.  Towards those ends, the Switch lenses boast impressive clarity and glare-killing polarization that served us flawlessly from cross-country road trips to rock pounding trail runs. While we found that they do smudge fairly easily, the lenses do utilize TriGuard, a patented, thin-film coating that makes the lenses easier to clean and causes water to bead up and run off.

Each pair of Switch Vision glasses come with a protective case, an extra pair of lenses and a micro-fiber cleaning bag so you can gently clean the smudges off of your shades. Switch also provides you with their magnetic LensPod™ to carry and protect your lenses. All told, it’s one stellar package that any outdoor enthusiast can, and will appreciate.

Bottom Line…
Your eyes work hard for you; give them a little love back and treat them to Switch Vision Sunglasses.
