Blundstone Canvas Series

Summer wardrobes are relatively simple. As long as you’re not going to a wedding, a pair of shorts and some solid T-shirts will typically fit the bill. But for the days that require a little extra style and covered toes, the new Blundstone Canvas series boots are set to become an essential part of your summer kit.

On Performance and Design…
The Blundstone 260 was our first introduction to Blundstone, a classic Australian brand that has spent 150 years crafting dependable footwear and establishing itself as an icon of industry and legend in the land Down Under.

And while the traditional Blunnie shoes and boots are built to endure, leather clad kicks don’t always make for the best summer partner. Enter the new Blundstone Canvas series. These canvas boots provide a bit of formal swagger, yet their laid-back personality suits everyday outings for warm weather pursuits that require more than exposed toes.

Listen, we all know that summer is no time for laces. You just wan to get up and go which is where the slip-on style of the Blundstone Canvas coupled with stretch panels on either side for easy on and off action come into play. Once on, you’ll appreciate that the full length footbed is not only ultra-comfortable for hours on end, but is antibacterial, antifungal, mold and mildew resistant.

The textured rubber sole grips tightly on a wide variety of surfaces—granting proper traction for walking city streets or even cruising on your board, albeit you’re going to enjoy these kicks so much you may not want to put them in harms way.

Notes from the Trail…
Okay, so you’ve read our thoughts but you’re still hesitant to slip on “boots” on days when the thermostat has your body begging for some reprieve. What you can’t tell from the images is the one feature that might be the most impressive, and that’s the feather light weight of the Blundstone Canvas series. The BL Canvas boots are actually lighter than some sandals in our gear stash, making them easy on the feet for all day wear. The only downside comes in the form of a $115 price tag which seems a bit daunting for casual canvas kicks.

Bottom Line…
Lightweight, breathable canvas kicks ready to treat your feet to excellent comfort in any setting.
