How does it work? Room for Improvement…
There were two critiques offered by our field team. The first pertains to the PurifiCup’s counter system. PurifiCup’s Natural Water Unit filtering Capacity is 11-12 Gallons (150 cups. or approximately 100 cups if you are using water sources with heavy debris), as such you need an effective way to keep track of the filter’s useage, hence the counter mechanism on the outside of the filter. While a handy tool, it’s not foolproof and in our experience the counter can be shifted accidentally easier than we’d prefer.
Second, the PurifiCup only filters 10 ounces at a time. While that amount may be fine for a single user, if you’re using the product in the outdoors, it will take multiple uses to fill your bottle. If you’re heading out with a group, you’ll want to ensure that everyone has their own PurifiCup. That being said, while the small size does limit the amount of water that can be purified at a time, we believe that the size is also one of the strengths of the product making it perfect for compact storage and travel.
