Topside, the TrekSta design team used a beautiful combination of leather and synthetic materials to make the upper tough enough for serious trails yet flexible and comfortable enough to keep you going for mile after mile. Add a dependable water-protecting Gore-Tex® lining and you have a premium all-leather hiking boot – perfect when both agility and protection are required.
Where the Alta GTX truly stands apart from the masses of run of the mill leather-clad boots is the foot-shaped profile. As with all TrekSta shoes, the Alta GTX is designed around the TrekSta the NestFIT last. To create a better all around fit, Treksta measured some 20,000 individual feet. It was from these measurements the NestFIT last was born.
The anatomically shaped last follows the natural flow and design of the foot, right down to a slightly elevated vertical space just above the big toe. Not only does this leave room for your foot to swell naturally, but it helps reduce the level of fatigue your hardworking feet endure on your peak bragging excursions.
