2014-12-13 23.29.11Forget everything you thought you knew about rechargeable flashlights. Incorporating COAST Portland’s best focusing optic technology, the benefit of multiple charging options, and a clear bright beam, the HP7R and HP5R flashlights demonstrate the benefits of intelligent engineering and quality manufacturing.

On Performance and Design…
In typical COAST fashion, these lights feature bomber construction and some of the cleanest beams we’ve seen making them a perfect choice for packing, car camping, lighting up the night, or any adventure where good lighting is of the essence.  But the HP7R and HP5R bring a new level of versatility to your power needs that sets them apart from the rest of the pack.

Featuring COAST’s Flex Charge Dual Power system, the HP7R and HP5R flashlights offer the ability to recharge via a variety of power sources. Choose from an AC, DC or even USB power source to fire up this pocket torch. In essence, the included batteries and charging kits allow these flashlights to conveniently adapt to the power source that you have on hand so you never have to go without light.

2014-12-13 23.17.12To charge the flashlight simply pop up the tail cap to reveal a micro-usb port. Plug in the included charging cable, and juice up the rechargeable lithium ion battery via AC (wall outlets), DC (in your car) or USB power sources (computer, or portable solar charger).  As an added bonus, the second lithium ion battery has a built in USB port so you can keep it plugged in while your first battery is in use. Each rechargeable battery offers just under 8 hours of use per charge.

In the past, outdoor users have rightfully been wary of rechargeable lights because of the massive downside; run out of juice in the field, and you’re left in the dark… literally.  Even with the benefit of portable solar, you may not have the opportunity to fully recharge. But with the HP7R and HP5R you also have the option of powering your light with standard alkaline batteries, which may be the only source of power and ensures you’ll have the light you need. It’s the versatility of the HP7R and HP5R that make it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts and casual users alike.

The Bottom Line…
Versatility, adaptability, and a dependable crisp, clean bright light for wherever your adventure may lead.
