Quite light for a pack this size, the Synapse itself weighs in at just under a pound and a half (sans water) keeping most of your energy focused on the trail ahead.
Offering 15 liters of storage space with one main compartment, the Synapse 15 Set surprised us with just how much gear it could handle. The Synapse 15 Set had plenty of room for all of the day hiking essentials, and as an added bonus, the size ensured we never overpacked (which at times tends to be an issue). In addition to the large stash pocket on the back, extra storage compartments can be found on the waist belt, allowing for quick access without having to remove the pack or slow your momentum.
Notes from the Trail…
When it comes down to picking the perfect pack, it all comes down to fit. Admittedly, we usually opt for larger capacity hydration packs. So when a sleek little streamlined option arrives, our first concern centers on comfort and fit. That being said, this Synapse 15 Set managed to accommodate our 6’4” tester with relative ease, and offered far more comfort and breathability than we had anticipated. Job well done Salomon!
