Gumption… it’s an odd word, but the cornerstone of our philosophy, and we believe at the very core of what it means to be an outdoor enthusiast.

As athletes and adventurers, we have always believed in pushing ourselves and our gear to the limits. Good gear helps you enjoy the outdoor experience. Great gear lets your outdoor soul thrive. Because we know that you don’t always have the opportunity to test gear before making that final purchase, we created Gumption Gear Review to share our insight and knowledge about the latest outdoor and adventure lifestyle products.

Whether bought, borrowed, bartered or bequeathed, we are dedicated to providing thoughtful and honest reviews.  We test the products within the context for which they were designed. However, we do push the limits because whether you are trekking through the backcountry, competing in a triathlon, or simply relaxing at the beach you want to know that your gear won’t let you down.

We know that you have a lot of options available when it comes to reviewing your products. Just as you have high expectations for your products, our readers have high expectations for our reviews. As such we are committed to meeting and exceeding those expectations.  It’s this commitment that has made us one of the fastest growing gear review sites on the web.

Regarding the review process, we don’t believe that anyone can honestly come to understand a product in a mere two week window. As such, we plan on a period of 5-8 weeks for our field team to make their final report to ensure that they have the time to know and understand the product.

This is this is our passion. Our athletes and outdoor enthusiasts are dedicated to providing quality and honest reviews. That being said, we are always interested in reviewing the latest outdoor and adventure lifestyle products and sharing what we learn with our fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
